Howdy. I'm Philosophy. Yeah, I'm serious. And no, I do not have any siblings named History or Anthropology. It's just my given name!

I graduated from Vassar College in 2008 with a degree in English, and I've been working as a freelance writer while my husband finishes graduate school. I've worked for many different newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times, the Poughkeepsie Journal, The Weekly Beat (also in Poughkeepsie, NY), the Struthers Journal (Struthers, OH), and the Salem News (Salem, OH). I've also done a lot of online work: I used to be a blogger for the student political blog The Purple State, and for awhile I ran my own blog, A New Philosophy, which explored twenty-something living and the challenges of being a young person in today's society and economy. Additionally, I recently had an essay published in the latest edition of Barron's Guide to the Most Competitive Colleges.

I am also a poet, and have been published in some small journals, including Word Salad and Scrivener's Pen. On top of all that, I'm also working on a novel, though we'll see if that ever comes to fruition.

I mostly write articles about wedding etiquette and planning, although I've also been known to write the occasional article about the Episcopal Church.

I live in New York City with my husband, an Episcopal-priest-to-be named Adam, and my two cats, Charlotte Brontë and Lenore.
